challenge
Creating a brand identity is a challenge in itself. Creating an identity for your own brand is even more challenging (i've come to realize). This personal project took me out of the mind of a client and forced myself to ask, "What represents me as a designer?" I took that mind set and ran with it to develop my personal logo, website, and other marketing collateral.
approach
In order to create a brand identity that was completely me, I started with a mood board. This approach allowed me to discover what I was drawn to personally and gave me a direction to move in when creating my brand. While curating the mood for my identity, I started to conceptualize ideas for the logo mark, typography, color palette, and website development.
outcome
My final brand identity incorporates my love for minimalism, circular motion, bold color palette, as well as my affinity to clean and crisp lines. The logo mark can stand alone or with a dynamic set of visuals. My bold but simplistic website shows off my design work, and the marketing material brings my brand to life. The outcome is a clear identity that communicates who I am and what to expect from my portfolio.
